The Music that Inspired The Hammer Unfalls: Andrei Krylov

Now that the first release in this series, The Hammer Unfalls, is live on Royal Road, I wanted to give a shout out to one of the inspirations behind the story.

There’s a playlist I listen to while writing this novel called (you guessed it!) The Hammer Unfalls.

This playlist is overwhelmingly filled with songs by one artist, Andrei Krylov, who my Spotify stats say I have almost 2000 hours listening to.

2000 great hours. This man is an absolute master of lute and classical guitar. His personal stance against war and focus on individual self improvement is inspiring.

When I listen to his music, it puts me in the perfect balance between energized and relaxed. Andrei’s music rarely distracts me or breaks my concentration, but rather accentuates it. I achieve a flow state and feel harmonious with the music and writing as one. I truly believe listening to the soundtrack influenced the feel of the world I created through words. So thank you, Andrei, for your “effortless” music.
